Roofing Case Study #1: From Ruins To Restoration!

By Roofing, Flat Roof, Repairs, Shingle Roof

Castile Roofing would like to present to you an ongoing series of Roofing Case Studies. In this Roofing Case Study, we showcase the importance of our services to citizens in the Valley of the Sun. Through the images shown, we stress the need for consultation and restoration of a home roof.

The Horror After the Storm

Roofing Case Study - A damaged interior through years of possible neglect.

This is the interior of a residential roof that has seen
better days. The discoloration in the middle is water damage that has collected over the years. This is also known to be the number one source of water leaks. This is cause when rain runoff doesn’t do that; runoff the roof. The structural integrity was questionable; thus, the project is completed in stages. Therefore, we start the next phase of the restoration process.

The Restoration Process

Roofing Case Study - Further exposure of damaged roof

As we further go into the Case Study, the damage was extensive. Our team will do their utmost to repair and provide resealing for the roof. Each of the shingles were removed up to the core section of the home. This area has the most damage. During this time, the roofer will take great caution for fear of further damage.

Removing the damaged Shingles

Roofing Case Study - Removing the remaining affected areas.

At this point, all damaged shingles that are safe to remove are out. At this point it becomes very delicate work. Here we see the Castile Roofer plan his next course of action. Thus, the work reaches the next phase of this case study.

Laying the Re-sealant foundation

Roofing Case Study - The Restoration and Re-sealant..

With all damaged shingles removed, the next phase begins. The Roofer quickly reapplies a fresh sealant coating for waterproofing/weatherproofing. The Roofer has chosen to head towards the home, in this case. Starting from the Carport, the sealant is applied inward, followed by the new shingles.

Roofing Case Study - Sealant Foundation laid

This is an example of the sealant laid. The roofer carefully travels the length of the roof during this process. All damaged areas are cleaned and replaced prior to laying the sealant down. Now, the final part in this case study is the new shingles laid in place.

The Restoration is Complete

Roofing Case Study - The Completed Work

The roof is now made whole and clean. All affected areas are treated and the damaged shingles removed. New sealant and shingles are quickly applied; the roof restored.
